About some major reforms on FIFA 17

The FIFA franchise is one of video games that is popular and is released annually. We saw EA releasing "FIFA 16" in September 2015. The next one will be "FIFA 17." But there has not been anything new in the game from the time of the introducing Ultimate Team some years ago. If the rumours are to be believed, "FIFA 17" could include a new story mode much like "NBA 2K" that has My Player mode, which allows the players to be part of a story of being a professional athlete in NBA video game, Attack of the Fanboy reported.

It was pointed out that the rumour arose from the possible hinting by EA itself, which put out a job listing for a "FIFA – Cinematic Designer." The description for the Cinematic Designer read, "The Cinematic Designer has a background in film and animation and has an eye for quality storytelling. They know how to make a scene feel tense, triumphant, harrowing, etc, just by selecting the right angle and lens. The famous franchise has showed signs of tardiness with this release as EA’s main rival Konami released their game Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 to rave reviews. FIFA is long due a major overhaul.

The game’s main source of income has become the Ultimate Team mode. The mode features collectible cards of players from around the world. The most sought after players go for a large amount on the market and not everyone can play the game often enough to trade and earn coins on the virtual market. So the players turn to FIFA points, bought with real money and used to open packs in the game. This system of micro-transactions in the game has made EA largely focus on this mode, essentially turning the mode into a cash cow according to most fans.

EA’s Career/Manager Mode has largely been ignored by the developer since years and is in need of a major update. Contrastingly, Konami focuses on both the modes and considers its story mode an important feature of the franchise. The mode underwent a major overhaul in PES 2016. You can read more about Manager Mode’s problems here. FIFA Career Mode die-hards will know the pain of trying to get all your youngsters loaned out during every single window – it takes a great deal of saving and reloading. There seems to be no reason why, except the random nature of how transfer offers come in and often, you’ll be left with lots of quality young talent wasting away in the reserves. So, why not let us build links with lower league ‘feeder’ clubs, and offer players on loan? They get a quality player, we get our youngster some playing time. Everybody wins.

EA Sports FIFA 17 may feature a story mode as suggested by a job listing by EA. If this is true, FIFA 17 Story mode will be a very big and pleasant addition for this long running franchise. Developers are looking to create a proper storyline and plot that is linked to career mode. The Cinematic Designer has a background in film and animation and has an eye for quality storytelling. They know how to make a scene feel tense, triumphant, harrowing, etc, just by selecting the right angle and lens. They can recognize the subtle movements that make a character look realistic and believable and strive to capture that in the animation.
