FIFA 16 Trainer is not only about reaching more players

There was extra attention given to goalkeepers this year. It's immediately apparent just how much smoother they move in the box when making saves, plus they have tons of new save animations as well. So, yeah, there you have it. It’s fair to say I left EA Guildford impressed with my first look and hands-on with FIFA 16. EA has focused less on the big name features and more on the core gameplay, the stuff that matters. It’s like an evolution of FIFA 16, one of the best games in the series for a long time in my humble opinion. Well, on the PS4 anyway. It plays an enjoyable, balanced game of football. You now feel like if you know your football and want to play a passing game; you can do exactly that.

I tested FIFA Trainer during EA’s presentation. Playing with a less FIFA-experienced journalist, I won the first game 2-0. But he was using Trainer and so, by the second game, he managed to hold me to a draw. This in turn forced me to use Trainer as well, to learn some more advanced tactics! According to FIFA 16’s gameplay producer, Aaron McHardy, FIFA Trainer is not only about reaching more players, but also a tool to help experienced FIFA fans reach new levels of professionalism. It’s a great way to learn things you maybe weren’t aware of, and you can even manually select the things you want it to teach you. The last time Lounge Mode was seen in a FIFA game was FIFA 16 and it’s a been a big miss ever since. There have been no suggestions that this is set to be brought back but it would certainly win over a lot of fans. There is no doubt that the game is not very friendly towards groups playing offline on one console, the return of Lounge Mode would fix all that. The game developer has yet to make any statement with regards to FIFA 16 but accordingly, it will come with a more enhanced gameplay on offer with a touch of realism to make every gamer experience a lot more realistic.

EA Sports has managed to improve their top selling game FIFA for every installment over the last few years. On Monday, EA released the first gameplay trailer for FIFA 16 and front what we’ve seen, gamers can expect improve graphics. The release of Xbox One and PS4 last year also gave EA a better platform to improve the game’s graphics and gameplay. Another rumor is that EA Sports will include the American Major League Soccer (MLS) and North American Soccer League (NASL) teams in FIFA 16. All these rumors are definitely exciting and if proven true, could make FIFA 16 the most complete soccer simulation yet.

Adding female players required more than just a few different skins and character designs. "The big change we’ve had to make is rebuilding the animation rig, in order that the skeleton underneath each player works with different proportions," Rutter told the Guardian. "Our underlying animation system was universally based on height and build. Rather than manipulating the proportions between joint and bone, it was like stretching an elastic band." PS4's legendary gear sets are on offer to those Guardians over level 20, including helmet, chest piece, arms, and legs for each class. EA Sports has announced that FIFA 16 will feature 12 women's international teams from Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, England, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Sweden, and the United States of America. The publisher says they'll be playable in "several game modes including Kick Off, offline tournaments, and online friendly matches." Women’s national teams will be available for the first time this year in the successful FIFA video game franchise from Electronic Arts Sports. Twelve national teams will be playable in FIFA 16, which will be released in North America on Sept. 25.

A handful of U.S. women’s national team stars, including Alex Morgan and Abby Wambach, were used in a motion capture session to help animate players’ movements in the game itself. EA also traveled the world to scan the female player’s heads and faces in real life to make the look of FIFA 16 as accurate as possible. We have to wait until next year to play FIFA 16, but if you want to watch the inspirational athletes play in real life, the Women's World Cup kicks off on June 6.
