FIFA 17 is the biggest leap EA Sports has taken this generation

FIFA 17 is the biggest leap EA Sports has taken this generation. Running on a new game-engine called Frostbite, the technology behind Battlefield 1 and Star Wars Battlefront, the likenesses of football’s biggest stars have never been more authentic. At the EA Play event alongside E3 in Los Angeles last week, we went hands-on with the comprehensive overhaul and tried its new, RPG-infused story mode called The Journey.

It’s about time EA improved the low resolution textures as graphics are a major selling point of any game. Just take a look at the hype surrounding Battlefield and Star Wars Battlefront, which were both built using DICE’s Frostbite Engine. Always making space and chances for himself and teammates, Marco Reus shows what FIFA 17’s Active Intelligence System means on the pitch. This brand new gameplay mechanic introduces constant spatial analysis, increases activity off the ball, and changes the way players move, read, and react.

Reus represent exciting, attacking football and epitomize the innovative play that fans can expect in FIFA 17,” said Nick Channon, Senior Producer for EA SPORTS FIFA. “We’re excited to see fans rally around their favorite players and see who they select as the cover star for the franchise, and the footballer who will represent FIFA 17 globally. With innovative gameplay features that let fans own every moment on the pitch, FIFA 17 brings an overhaul to Physical Play, a Set Piece Rewrite, New Attacking Techniques and a brand new Active Intelligence System. Fans can learn more about new features to FIFA 17 by visiting FIFA 17’s website.

Check out the promo video below. The St. Louis Blues superstar was revealed as the winner of the cover vote contest last week at the  Awards, and given the winger’s penchant for eye-popping, highlight-reel goals and primal celebrations after just undressing entire teams, fans did good in unknowingly pairing FIFA 17 with the perfect star to match the game. FIFA 17's continued mission this year to deliver a "major leap forward" for the series continues in the games latest trailer.

EA Sports had already introduced one massive change to the game by implementing DICE's Frostbite engine to give FIFA 17 that added sense of fidelity, but now the team have shown off a significantly more important gameplay development that'll interest fans. Getting a chance to go hands-on with an early build in addition to getting a chance to speak with FIFA 17 lead producer Sean Ramjagsingh a week before the awards during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles.

Here’s a rundown on the new features coming and why exactly Tarasenko’s play style fits this year’s game so well. A lot of focus appears to be on making every person’s experience who picks up a copy of FIFA 17 unique in his/her own way with a variety of customization and personalization options spread out across the game’s various modes. Together with Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus, EA Sports have introduced the new "Active Intelligence System" which will improve off the ball movement.
